During the examination, various conditions can be detected such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">benign and malignant bone formations of the spine<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">scoliosis<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">kyphosis<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">dystrophic-degenerative changes in the spine (osteochondrosis and spondyloarthrosis).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">spondylolisthesis<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the stability of intervertebral ligaments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Effective radiation dose.<\/strong>\u00a0X-ray examination of the spine\u00a0exposes the patient to a low level of radiation \u2013 approximately 0.7 mSv (millisieverts).<br \/>\n<em>(Reference: Mettler FA, et al: Effective Doses in Radiology and Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine: A Catalog, Radiology 2008 248:254-263).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duration.\u00a0<\/strong>The examination takes approximately 5\u201310 minutes and no prior registration is required.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Delivery of X-ray results.\u00a0<\/strong>You can receive the examination results and images both in print and in electronic format, in either Armenian or Russian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Preparation.\u00a0<\/strong>For lumbar and sacral spine examinations it is recommended to have empty bowels.
