Intravaginal sonography of the female pelvis
Organs being examined
An ultrasound examination of the female pelvis includes a detailed examination of the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and surrounding tissues. The examination is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist), using modern and high-quality expert equipment.
Ultrasound duration
The survey takes 15-20 minutes, pre-registration is required․
Sonography report submission form – you can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.
Indications for sonography
- Pelvic pain.
- Menstrual disorders, absence of a cycle.
- Previous indications.
- Female reproductive problems.
- Palpable formations in the external genitalia.
- Pregnancy planning.
- During menopause, even with a small amount of blood production, as an emergency.
- Scheduled once a year.
Preparation for sonography
For a planned examination, it is desirable that patients have an empty bladder. If there are any worrying symptoms, such as pain or heavy bleeding, you can come in any condition, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
